Import ProSeries FAM To QuickBooks FAM

Problem Description

When someone wants to transfer the ProSeries TY07 FAM file into QuickBooks 2008 FAM file, and ProSeries FAM has expired.


Solution Description
Please follow these steps to resolve your issue:
 
  1. Open ProSeries TY07 FAM
  2. Open the Client file you want to Import
  3. Go to File menu
  4. Select Export
  5. Select Comma Seperated file 
  6. Name the file 
  7. Select where to save the file
  8. Click the Save button
  9. Click OK button
  10. Closed the ProSeries FAM
  11. Open QuickBooks 2008
  12. Go to Accountant menu
  13. Select Manage Fixed Assets and QuickBooks FAM will launch
  14. Follow the wizard the create the QuickBooks FAM file
  15. Go to the File Menu
  16. Select the Import item
  17. Select Comma Seperated file
  18. Browse to where you saved the file  in step #8 
  19. Select the .csv file
  20. Create a new template and follow the wizard to finish the import.
