How do you change the asset number in FAM?
Solution Description The asset number cannot be changed once the record has been saved. If you wish to have all assets as numbers and in sequential order, You can copy all assets into a new company.
An alternative may be to copy all the assets into a new company, delete the assets in the original company, copy the assets from the dummy company back into the original company. This will put all the assets in sequential order and will be numbers.
You can copy the assets one at a time into a new company in the order that you want them numbered, i.e. if you want your 50th asset to have asset number 1 then copy that asset first.
